I don't pretend to know all there is about nutrition. In fact, the more I read about it, the more confusing it can be! What I have come to realize in my journey (having been a meat-eater, then vegetarian, then vegan, then raw-foodist) is that there is no one best way to eat. I came across the term bio-individuality the other day, and feel that this is something that I can agree with. Basically it means that is that every individual is bio-chemically different. What works for me nutritionally might not agree with someone else's system, and vice-versa. For example, I have discovered that avoiding wheat and sugar help me feel better. It's a journey of trial and error, and a fascinating one at that, because food affects energy levels, mood, and sooooo much more. I think that sticking to home-made, unprocessed foods as much as possible, perhaps eating organic as well, eating locally grown foods, and eating lots of colorful veggies is a good thing.
